Releasing Steel Head Salmon
Today the Tolerance Kids are going to the Nimbus Hatchery to examine Steel Head Salmon and look at the ones we released. We have been raising them since December. They used to be eggs and now they are in the river. Some of them didn't survive although most of them did. All of us are very glad we did this too, to help them because most of them in the wildlife wouldn't survive. Like being eaten, lost, or unfertilized, or in the warm water. We feel like we have been parents for the past few weeks and we feel like we have taken on a whole new responsibility. Most of us are looking forward to going to the Nimbus Hatchery and seeing them again.
